IOWA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN’S vision is that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential. Our mission is to promote high quality early learning for all children birth through age eight by connecting practice, policy and research and advance a diverse dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate and work on behalf of children.
Offers a statewide website, advocacy and public awareness, Week of the Young Child activities, annual training institutes, program/staff support, chapter development support and a connection to the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) Early Childhood IOWA is a scholarship program designed to provide educational scholarships for those working with young children. This program provides a variety of financial support as well as one-on-one guidance and support through the process.
CHILD CARE WAGE$ IOWA (WAGE$) is a salary supplement program that awards financial stipends to those working in the early care and education field who have already obtained some level of formal education and have worked in their child care program for at least 6 months.
