    Agency: Kearney Jubilee Center Thrift Store & Food Pantry

    Funds are available to residents who are at risk of homelessness, are homeless, or are facing utility shut off.  The goal is to keep family units together in times of crisis.  Funds may only be accessed once in a 365 day period and 3 times in a lifetime.

    Assistance with medications on a case by case basis.

  • Cancer Support Services

    Agency: Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center

    Support groups for those with cancer:

    -Hope for Tomorrow for patients, spouses, families and friends; meets third Monday of each month, 6 pm-7:30 pm.

    -Young Women's Breast Cancer Support Group discusses concerns of women ages 20-50 who have been diagnosed with breast cancer; meets quarterly, call for dates.

    Emergency medical assistance can also be provided when eligibility guidelines are met.

    Provides emergency help with utilities, housing, and medical expenses.  Cannot assist with deposits.  Call for other details.

    Agency: Jefferson County Offices

    Provides assistance on a temporary basis for a limited time for basic needs that may include rent/lot rent; interest on mortgage, utilities-gas, electric, water; food vouchers for clients who are unable to work.  Cannot be on Subsidized Housing, a student, receive Social Security, or a Veteran.
