Funds are available to residents who are at risk of homelessness, are homeless, or are facing utility shut off. The goal is to keep family units together in times of crisis. Funds may only be accessed once in a 365 day period and 3 times in a lifetime.
Assistance with medications on a case by case basis.
Support groups for those with cancer:
-Hope for Tomorrow for patients, spouses, families and friends; meets third Monday of each month, 6 pm-7:30 pm.
-Young Women's Breast Cancer Support Group discusses concerns of women ages 20-50 who have been diagnosed with breast cancer; meets quarterly, call for dates.
Provides assistance on a temporary basis for a limited time for basic needs that may include rent/lot rent; interest on mortgage, utilities-gas, electric, water; food vouchers for clients who are unable to work. Cannot be on Subsidized Housing, a student, receive Social Security, or a Veteran.
Assistance in emergency situations with basic needs such as shelter, food, utility, funeral, and medical care. Participation in this program requires agreement for repayment when appropriate. All financial assistance is made directly to the vendors.
Offers competitive prices for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, both generic and brand-name. On average, filling a prescription at OneWorld costs 20-50% less than filling at other pharmacies. Also offers a medication assistance program (MAP), which is available for income-eligible patients and those with chronic diseases.
