School physicals are offered for qualifying low-income, uninsured or under-insured youth at the Valley Junction Free Medical Clinic located at West Des Moines Human Services. No appointment necessary. Walk-ins welcome on Tuesday evenings between 7 pm and 9 pm, Must check in by 7:30 pm.

RECREATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS are offered for low-income children for West Des Moines Parks and Rec offerings. Low income families can also apply for reduced pool passes which allows unlimited admittance all summer to the Holiday Park Aquatic Center, Valley View Aquatic Center. Applications for reduced pool passes begins in April of each year.
