WEST DES MOINES HUMAN SERVICES provides a one-time partial payment towards gas/electric and water utility bills along with assistance in working with related organizations/agencies. The one-time payment can be used to avoid a disconnection or for reconnection service.
RECREATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS are offered for low-income children for West Des Moines Parks and Rec offerings. Low income families can also apply for reduced pool passes which allows unlimited admittance all summer to the Holiday Park Aquatic Center, Valley View Aquatic Center. Applications for reduced pool passes begins in April of each year.
