Serves as an administrator for HUD and has four broad areas of responsibility: Certifies and re-certifies tenants. Approves units and leases, pays housing assistance to the owner, and monitors the program performance and compliance with Federal rules.
Low-Income housing and pays the balance of a rent payment that exceeds 30% of renter's monthly income.
Provides street and bridge maintenance.
Provides sanitary sewer, storm sewer and drainage-way maintenance to the community.
Administers licenses for beer/liquor, cigarette sales, pushcart/peddler/solicitor/ transient merchant/mobile food unit; taxi cab/limousine license, and tow fees.
Oversees the city operations.
Provides assistance to landlords in being licensed and to register all of their residential properties within the city limits.
