  • Medicaid and CHIP Customer Service

    Agency: Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services

    Medicaid provides payment for the medical care of low-income Nebraskans. Types of medical services include hospital, nursing home, physicians, dental, clinic, home health, family planning, lab and radiology, and prescribed drugs. Medicaid may also cover home and community based services for high risk individuals who are aged, disabled, or mentally disabled.

    Effective October 1, 2020, Heritage Health Adult will cover Nebraska residents, age 19 through 64, whose income is at or below 138 percent of the federal poverty level. Applications are currently being accepted.

    Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides access to health care for low-income uninsured children statewide.
