    ***HIRTA is excited to announce the new HIRTA On Demand app, which will allow riders more flexibility to schedule, pay, and cancel rides. Available in both English and Spanish, HIRTA On Demand is available to download on the App Store and Google Play for free. Riders who do not wish to use the app can still schedule by calling 1 (877) 686-0029 or emailing erides@ridehirta.com.

    Provides public transit service available to all citizens and visitors of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story, and Warren Counties by enhancing quality of life, enabling access to employment and education, and promoting independent lifestyles for central Iowa residents. Trips must be scheduled 24 hours in advance, door to door service is provided, may be able to provide rides to other counties/cities (for example to Des Moines from some smaller cities).
