Supports children with incarcerated parents by enhancing the relationship between the child and their parent/grandparent due to the difficult period of separation. Community volunteers help organize monthly reading sessions at the Iowa Correctional Institute for Women in Mitchellville, The Newton Correctional Facility in Newton and the Clarinda Correctional Facility in Clarinda. Volunteers assist incarcerated parents and grandparents with selecting and reading a book to their child via recording, and sending the book and recording home to their child.
