The Healthy Baby Shower is an interactive, virtual prenatal nutrition lesson, combined with a discussion of community resources of interest to parents-to-be and parents of young children. Participants in the virtual class receive a sturdy “Healthy Baby” backpack filled with gifts, delivered to their doors by volunteers from Nutrition 4 Young Children. These gifts include a dozen newborn diapers, an electronic infant ear thermometer, a onesie, a baby bath kit, a Haakaa breast milk collector, a handmade cloth doll, a crocheted baby hat, infant nail clippers, hand sanitizer, and a child development guide.
