SNAP outreach, formerly known as food stamps, is a state program designed to help low-income families and individuals acquire benefits to purchase food. SNAP outreach workers and volunteers travel on a daily basis to provide SNAP education materials, determine client SNAP eligibility and application assistance at mobile access points.
